Science Explorers NY

Offering hands-on science experiences designed to satisfy the curious and enrich all young explorers

I am a science teacher...

I graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in psychology with the desire and intent to work with children.  I fell in love with hands-on science teaching while volunteering at the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh, PA.  I taught as a program presenter for their Science on the Road program where I traveled to a wide variety of schools in the Pittsburgh region and presented science programs to children 4-12 years old on topics as expansive as astronomy all the way down to microscopic chromosomes and DNA.

Since moving from Pittsburgh I have taught science at The Science Center of Connecticut in West Hartford, CT and The Mystic Aquarium & Institute for Exploration in Mystic, CT.  I love to teach and experience the wonders of the world with the young children I interact with.

When we moved to Manhattan I began this new adventure of starting my own business, Science Explorers, in August 2006.

During the fall of 2006 I began exploring the world of parenthood.  My husband and I had our first child (a little girl, Isabella) on October 7, 2006.  We both love this new adventure.
